Rewilding My Lot

Converting a new developer lot into a nature ecosystem — my journey

Tidying Up The Patio

At one point I thought I’d put a shed in the back yard to keep garden tools and equipment, in order to make more space in the garage. For various reasons, that idea is off the table. So then the situation morphed into the garage being used for big and rarely used garden items, and the back patio being used as a workspace with things I used frequently kept in an open wagon. That was certainly convenient for my daily gardening sessions, but untidy, and left things open to the weather and/or creatures.

Once it gets cool enough, I’d like to have the patio available as a seating area. So I bought a box to store my gardening stuff, and it will also serve as bench seating. That has tidied up the patio quite a bit. The outdoor furniture we have owned for about 30 years is too lightweight for the wind we get here, so I hope to get something sturdier in due course.
