The Native Plants section of this website has a wealth of information about Texas native plants, for instance: size, growing conditions, bloom information, ecological benefit.
Native Plant Society of Texas
There are local chapters of this society, where you can get more information and meet with other native gardeners in your region. As a relative novice, I have learned a lot from my peers here. I have also made good use of the plant lists on their website to learn what is recommended in different regions and conditions. Membership is not required to attend meetings.
Texas Master Naturalist Program
There are local chapters of this organization, where you can connect with others in your region for information, volunteer opportunities, and training. Membership is not required to attend meetings. I have now become a Certified Master Naturalist, and am continuing to learn a lot from my naturalist colleagues.
Growing Texas Natives, Facebook group
This is a supportive social media group where fellow native gardeners share questions and advice. If you post, be sure to follow the group rules and include your location. Texas is a big place, with several different ecosystems!

I have bought most of my seeds here, and their website and catalogs are also good sources of information.
Plant Nurseries
My favorite nursery in Seguin is Green Jay Gardens. Everything I have bought from there has been excellent quality, and the owner encourages native gardening. I have also bought plants and soil at Maldonado Nursery.
A little further afield, good native plant nurseries are Pollinatives in Converse and The Nectar Bar in San Antonio.
Vivid Outdoor Solutions and Water Garden Gems are sister companies that are involved with the construction and management of outdoor water features.
Weather Forecasts
I use the National Weather Service to get local weather forecasts that have been prepared by real human beings studying multiple computer models. I have the page that relates to my location saved as a bookmark on my phone.
