Hummingbird!

It is absolutely my goal to have Hummingbirds visit this garden without enticing them with feeders. I thought I’d have to wait a year or two for that, but I was delightfully astonished this week to see a Hummingbird feed at my Desert Willow tree for a minute or so.

The photos aren’t great, but here it is, on the left side of the tree.

I’ve written before about taking a long time to decide to buy this particular tree because it was too tall for my car and more expensive than smaller versions, but I’m so glad I did!

    Great news! Congratulations!

    If it grows in your area, you might also try a coral Porterweed – https://www.almostedenplants.com/shopping/products/372-coral-porterweed-pink-porterweed-orange-porterweed-pink-snakeweed/

    My neighbour, who has the most wonderful wildflower garden has a couple of these and they are Hummingbird magnets once they get a bit of height. They will freeze back though.
